Our work

Things we built because somebody needed them

Every system on this page is ours - designed, built and still run by us. Most of them solve a Tanzanian problem that imported software handles badly. Two are public; ask us about the rest.

Waste & recycling

In n' Out

TakaSafi

A Kiswahili-first waste collection, buy-back and education platform for Tanzanian households.

Households book a collection or sell sorted recyclables and get paid on the weight the collector records. Customers and field staff each get their own app; behind them sits an operations dashboard for wards, routes, collection slots, materials and payouts.

  • Customer and field-collector apps, Kiswahili first
  • Ward routing with scheduled collection windows
  • Buy-back priced by material and bag size, paid on measured weight
  • Operations dashboard for staff, routes and settlement

Hiring Live

SimpliKazi

simplikazi.co.tz

A bilingual, mobile-first structured video hiring platform for Tanzanian candidates and recruiting teams.

A candidate answers the same short set of recorded questions once, and every recruiter looking for that role can review it. It removes the scheduling round-trip that makes early-stage hiring slow, and gives recruiters answers that are actually comparable side by side.

  • One structured video interview, reusable across employers
  • Swahili and English throughout
  • Private media with signed, expiring access
  • Free CV builder, with a paid PDF export

Education Live

SchoolForms

schoolforms.co.tz

Find and apply to secondary schools across Tanzania, and buy the application form on your phone.

Buying an application form normally means travelling to the school, queueing, and paying in cash - for each school you try. SchoolForms puts the prospectus, the fees and the form online, takes mobile money, and delivers the completed application to the school’s own dashboard.

  • Browse every region and compare fees side by side
  • Filter by O-Level, A-Level, region or school name
  • Buy and complete the form on a phone, paying by M-Pesa or Tigo Pesa
  • An admin dashboard for each school

Offkenny Staff Suite

Digital Realms

An employee management suite: attendance, payroll, schedules and notices, in one place.

Two portals over one system. Managers run the team, the payroll and the money; staff clock in, request leave, submit expenses and read notices from the same app. Built for a business that had been running all of it on paper and WhatsApp.

  • Clock-in attendance with lateness tracking
  • Payroll runs, salary scales and payslips
  • Leave requests and expense submission
  • Invoicing, clients and a cash position view

Prepaid Meal Tabs

A prepaid meal wallet connecting local food vendors, organisations and individuals.

A worker or a student tops up once and eats on a tab at any connected vendor, settled by QR at the counter. Organisations can fund staff or student meals directly instead of handling cash allowances. Offline-capable, because the lunch rush is exactly when the network gives up.

  • Prepaid wallets per vendor, topped up once
  • QR at the counter, both directions
  • Organisation-funded meal allowances
  • Offline-capable, Swahili and English

An early prototype, paused rather than shipped. Shown here because the idea still stands up.

Simplicity LMS

Lending platform

A loan management platform for Tanzanian lenders, built around the reporting the regulator actually asks for.

Client onboarding and KYC with independent maker-checker review, a leads pipeline, loan products and policy, and an application-to-approval underwriting flow - with Bank of Tanzania reporting treated as a first-class output rather than a quarterly scramble. Currently in active development.

  • KYC evidence with maker-checker approval
  • Loan products, policy and underwriting workflow
  • Branch, staff and role administration with anti-escalation
  • Bank of Tanzania reporting built in

How we work

How we built them

Every system above followed the same path - and so would yours. You always know what is happening now and what comes next.

01/

Discovery

A week or two with your team, mapping the real process and agreeing what success looks like in numbers.

02/

Scope & estimate

A written scope, a delivery plan and a real price. You decide whether to go ahead with full information.

03/

Design

Screens and flows you can click through before a line of production code is written.

04/

Build

Two-week cycles, each ending with something working that you can see and comment on.

05/

Test & harden

Real data, real devices, real network conditions - including the bad ones.

06/

Launch & train

Migration, go-live support and training so your team is confident from day one.

07/

Run & improve

Monitoring, support and a steady stream of small improvements once you know what you actually need.

Every product on this page started as somebody’s daily frustration. If you have one of those, the first conversation is free and ends with an honest answer about whether it is worth building.
