Pricing & packages
Published prices, in shillings, before you pick up the phone
Most agencies here make you ask. These are real bands for the Tanzanian market - what web and mobile work actually costs in Dodoma, Dar es Salaam and Arusha. All prices exclude VAT.

What moves the price
The local pieces
These are what separate software that works in Tanzania from software that merely launches here. Added to any build.
Mobile money integration
Direct M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa or Airtel Money, or an aggregator such as Selcom, DPO or PesaPal. Covers USSD push prompts, webhooks for real-time confirmation, automated reconciliation and fraud checks.
TZS 1,200,000 – 2,500,000 one-time
SMS gateway integration
Beem Africa or NextSMS for OTP codes, booking confirmations and order alerts, with backend queueing. Message units bill separately at roughly TZS 20–22 each.
TZS 450,000 – 900,000 one-time
TRA EFD compliance
Automated fiscal receipt generation against the Tanzania Revenue Authority APIs, for systems that must issue compliant receipts.
TZS 3,500,000 – 7,000,000 one-time
Offline-first field mode
Local capture that survives a dropped signal and syncs cleanly when it returns, with conflict handling. For teams working outside network coverage.
TZS 2,500,000 – 5,500,000 one-time
Custom payment gateway
A proprietary payment engine built from scratch, for businesses that need to own the rails rather than rent them.
TZS 20,000,000 from
Development hours
Ongoing changes to a system we built or took over, drawn down from a monthly block of hours.
TZS 95,000 per hour
Running costs
Domains, hosting and care
Quoted separately and honestly, because the renewal is where most people get caught out.
| Item | What it covers | Price | Renewal |
|---|---|---|---|
| .co.tz domain | Your Tanzanian commercial identity, through a tzNIC-accredited registrar. Better local search performance and more trust here than a .com. | TZS 18,950 – 38,974 first year |
TZS 23,000 – 33,800 / year |
| .tz apex domain | The premium national extension, for organisations that want the shorter national address. | TZS 90,000 first year |
TZS 100,000 / year |
| Starter hosting | 1–3GB SSD, free SSL, cPanel and up to five mailboxes. Enough for a brochure site. | TZS 9,100 – 40,000 per year |
Same rate |
| Business hosting | 10–25GB SSD, unlimited bandwidth, daily automated backups and a security suite. For sites that take orders. | TZS 105,000 – 300,000 per year |
Same rate |
| Managed cloud / VPS | Dedicated CPU and memory for e-commerce and mobile app backends, sized to your traffic rather than a price list. | TZS 500,000 – 2,500,000 per year |
Scales with CPU and RAM |
| Care plan (SLA) | Uptime monitoring, database and content backups, framework updates, security patching, content changes and a response inside two hours. | TZS 300,000 – 650,000 per month |
Annual contract, billed monthly |
Pricing questions
Before you ask
Because the honest answer depends on two things no price list can know: how many integrations you need, and how messy the data is that we are migrating. A five-page site is a five-page site. An online shop that must reconcile three mobile money providers against a bank statement is not.
After a introduction call you get a single fixed price in writing. If we cannot do it for that, we say so before you commit.
Two reasons specific to this market. The app has to run well on sub-$100 Android phones, which means real memory profiling rather than assuming a flagship. And it has to survive the network dropping mid-task, then sync cleanly when it returns. Both take engineering hours a desktop-first build never spends.
No. Every price here excludes VAT, charged at the prevailing Tanzanian rate. Your quote shows the VAT line separately.
Builds are milestone-based, but on the larger packages we can spread those milestones over a longer period if cash flow needs it. Say so during the introduction call and we will structure it with you rather than after the fact.
Take the care plan, or a block of development hours. We start with a short technical review of what you have, then say honestly whether supporting it or replacing it is the better use of your money.
No. The introduction call and the written recommendation that follows it cost nothing. We start charging when there is a signed scope.
